Great piece of artwork. This one is really hard to criticise since it is such a refined piece of work, and I do not know your intention behind it and such have little to judge it against. It looks a lot like the original photo, so in that sense you are covered. This drawing invokes a lot of sadness at seeing what I presume is a dead bird, so it that was what you intended you sucseeded. I think you could take it further however, if you wanted to. You could experiment with giving it a watercolour wash that could hold more potentional for emotional , or make a repeating pattern out of it. It could be an interesting project, but that is really up to opinion.
For the image in itself as it is, i think it would look slightly better without the "beard" under it's beak, it makes the shilhouette take a split second more to recognise and looks somewhat odd, like it is behind the bird. I also think this image would benefit from a slight grungy texture (but fade it below the bird) I see you have stated the work is digital, so for watercoulour I would suggest scanning in some watercolour or ink smears and overlay them with low opacity for some varied effects if you wanted to.
